Beautiful Meadow ( descriptive )

I stepped through a low arch made by two vine maples pushing past the chest-high ferns into a beautiful meadow. The meadow is perfectly round as if someone had intentionally created the flawless circle, tearing out the trees but leaving non evidence of that violence in the waving grass. To the east, I can hear the stream bubbling quietly. The meadow is so stunning with the sunlight that you can only see through the cracks between the trees over my head. It is beautiful and serene. The trees are so tall that I had to lie down on the wavy grass just to see the top.
In the meadow, I see dozens and dozens of flowers of every colour. It is the wrong season for wildflowers, the ground is thick and moist so as I walked I could see my footprints behind me. The meadow has tall grass that swayed in the light breeze like ripples across a lake. As I touched the tall wet grass it tickled the tips of my fingers. The smell of the meadow was fresh and sweet which relaxed me. There are two huge rocks by the lake suitable to sit on. As I walked over to these rocks the rhythm of my footprints started to numb by mind. As I gazed over the magnificent view of the huge valley that lay before me, I can see a beautiful lake that glittered in the sunlight.
At a distance, that only could be seen when I squinted my eyes. I can see a huge, beautiful waterfall that is crashing down into a long river which caused it to make foam. Above my head, I can hear birds singing happily as they flew to their nests.
Slowly, it turned dark until I could not see my hand in front of my face. I lay down on my back, wild flowers all around me as I can see millions of tiny stars in the sky. Tonight the moon is twice the size than I ever seen it before. I can hear owls hooting in the distance. I am relaxed. I fell asleep faster than I thought I would in my beautiful meadow.

My Hometown & College Town ( comparison & contrast )

There are many differences and similarities between my hometown and college town.My homrtown's population is less than my college town. And it is bigger than my college town. The weather is hotter than there.

Furthermore the city is more developed. There are much more department, stores, supermarkets, shopping centers...A lot of concert, theatres, social activities are put in order in my college town, but they don't happen them in my hometown a lot.The weather in winters, isn't too cold.It doesn't snow a lot, but in my hometown is cold in winters. On the other hand my hometown has a historical museum.

Consequently, my hometown famous for cologne and 'höşmerim'.My college town is famous for 'rooster'.This two cities are suitable for me to living.

Mobile phones at school ( opinion )

Nowadays more and more students bring their mobile phones to school. While I believe that students should carry mobile phones in case of an emergency, I am strongly opposed to phones being used at school, particularly in the classroom.

Firstly, many students travel to and from school without their parents. Therefore, it is important for them to have a mobile phone in case they need help or have an accident on the way to school or home.Furthermore, parents who work may need to contact their children. For example, if a parent has to work late, the student has to be told if arrangements have been made for a relative or neighbour to look after them. On the other hand, nothing is more disruptive during a lesson than the sound of a mobile phone ringing or playing an annoying tune. Moreover, students who send and receive text messages in class are not paying attention to the lesson.

In conclusion, I feel that students should be allowed to take mobile phones to school for use in an emergency. However, all phones should certainly be turned off during lessons.
